D35 Martin 150 Anniversary 1833-1983 Special
stamped and signed
3 piece back. Solid Rosewood Back and Sides
Solid sitka spruce top
Traditional Robust Martin Bass Tone and Clear Crisp Highs, that are found in all Martins guitars, has only increased , in tonal quality over the years. It been taken care of, however it has a few slight nicks. The pick-guard shows a little wear.in one spot easily replaced. It has been my stage and recording guitar since new in 1983 . No cracks or dents. Nor has it ever had any major repairs done to it. It was re fretted [12 frets ] approx 10 years ago at the Ottawa Folklore Centre,
The neck is straight and true It plays better than it did when new. The intonation is perfect. To the 12th fret harmonic. The tuners are in A1 condition. And there is no buzzing right up the neck..
This guitar once had a Barcus Berry thin line pickup installed in it. The pick-up strip that used to be under the saddle has been removed. As I replaced the saddle with another Bone saddle at the time of the above mentioned fretting procedure.
It comes with original fiberglass Martin case.,
Most Martins increase in value probably due to the age as the sound peaks in about 10-15 years. you will not get this sound from a new one. Considering this and the price of a new D-35 Ive priced this guitar fairly at $2800
. plays well Daddarrio Coated med strings new. Big sound excellent tone.
